By visiting our website, sending an inquiry, or booking any service with DU-TIPS (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
DU-TIPS is a Dubrovnik-based travel service offering private tours, day trips, boat experiences (via trusted partners), and transfers.

Guest/You – the person placing the booking and all travelers included.
Services – tours, transfers, boat trips, custom itineraries, and any add-ons we arrange.
Third-party suppliers – partners who operate boats, restaurants, activities, attractions, etc.
A booking is confirmed when you receive our written confirmation (email/message) and, where required, we receive the stated deposit.
The person placing the booking must be 18+ and is responsible for the accuracy of all details (names, dates, pick-up, special requirements).
Final itineraries and pick-up details are reconfirmed 24–48h before service.
Prices are shown in EUR and include applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
Inclusions/exclusions are listed in each offer (e.g., vehicle class, driver/guide, fuel, tolls, parking, tasting fees, entrance tickets, lunch, boat fuel/skipper, etc.).
Optional extras and changes on the day (extra hours, different routes, additional stops, tickets, tastings, guide services) are charged separately at the rate we communicate before providing them.
Exchange/foreign transaction fees charged by your bank/payment provider are your responsibility.
We accept cash (EUR) and, when available, secure online card payment.
Deposits may be required for certain services (especially boats, large groups, peak-season dates). The deposit amount and due date are stated in your offer/checkout.
Any balance is due as stated in your confirmation (commonly at or before pick-up).
Unless a different policy is stated in your confirmation (e.g., for boats or special events), the default policy is:
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the service start time.
Within 24 hours: 50% of the total price is due.
No-show or cancellation after start time: 100% of the total price is due.
For services with third-party strict terms (e.g., private boats, restaurants with pre-orders, special entrances), a 72-hour or supplier-specific policy may apply; your confirmation will state this.
Date/time or route changes are subject to availability and may alter the price.
We may adjust, postpone, or cancel a service for reasons beyond our control (e.g., severe weather/sea conditions, road closures, border delays, safety concerns, strikes, force majeure, supplier issues).
We will propose a suitable alternative (timing, route, supplier) or offer a full or pro-rated refund for the unused part, depending on what is reasonable in the circumstances.
For boat tours, the skipper has final authority on safety and sea conditions.
Please be ready at the confirmed pick-up point.
Grace period: up to 15 minutes waiting time is included for standard pick-ups; airport/port pick-ups include a reasonable wait aligned with your flight/ship status (we monitor arrivals when details are provided).
Additional waiting/overtime and extra detours are charged at the hourly rate communicated by us.
Border queues and traffic are outside our control; itineraries may be adjusted to keep the day enjoyable and safe.
Guests are responsible for carrying valid passports/IDs and visas/permits where required (e.g., Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro).
Entry decisions are made solely by border authorities. Refunds are not provided if entry is refused due to missing/invalid documents.
Inform us in advance about medical conditions, mobility issues, pregnancy, or dietary needs. We will advise suitability and alternatives where possible.
Seat belts are mandatory. Child seats/boosters are available on request (please specify ages/weights in advance).
Consumption of alcohol and smoking/vaping are not permitted in vehicles.
For water activities (swimming, snorkeling, caves), you participate at your own risk. Always follow skipper/guide instructions and use provided safety equipment (life jackets, etc.).
We may refuse service to any person who appears intoxicated, behaves abusively, or poses a safety risk—without refund.
We take reasonable care; however, luggage and personal items are carried at your own risk. We are not liable for loss/damage unless caused by our proven negligence.
Many historic sites, boats, and natural locations have stairs or uneven ground. Please discuss accessibility needs in advance so we can propose suitable options.
Some services (boats, restaurants, attractions, activities) are operated by independent suppliers. Their own terms, safety rules, and cancellation policies apply in addition to ours. We carefully select partners but are not responsible for changes they impose beyond our control.
We maintain legally required insurances for our operations. We strongly recommend that guests hold personal travel insurance covering medical expenses, cancellations, personal property, and adventure/water activities.
We love to capture memories. With your consent, our team may take photos/videos during services. You grant us a non-exclusive right to use such media for marketing (website, social channels) unless you opt out at or before the service. You can withdraw consent anytime by emailing us.

If anything is not as expected, contact your driver/guide or +385 95 199 8059 immediately so we can assist on the spot.
Formal complaints can be sent within 8 days after the service to info@du-tips.com with booking details and evidence; we aim to respond within 7 working days.
We act with due care and skill. Our liability is limited to direct damages caused by our proven negligence and shall not exceed the total price paid for the relevant service.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, acts/omissions of third parties, force majeure events, or decisions of authorities (e.g., borders, park management).
Nothing limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any dispute shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking applies. The “Last updated” date appears at the top of this page.
